Pleased your friends are considering coming to the meet-up, the more the merrier and it will be very nice to meet them.

Still waiting and waiting on a decision regarding the bond. We have a petition link in our signature below, if anyone in this thread would like to support us all and add their names to it. (Only Mr(s) firstname surname UK is required.) We would be very grateful for any additions to it.

House is bad news - Our buyers pulled out yesterday. A week ago they said they were hoping to move in asap in June so we recently arranged rental for this. I could get annoyed again over this but to keep it short they say its for financial reasons. What a waste of our time and money.:curse: Twice we waited patiently for them to find a buyer since they seemed so nice and said they loved the house.:curse::curse:

Hows your visa progressing now ? Hopefully getting alot closer to it. Is your house on the market yet ? or are you waiting for the visa first ?

sorry about the house buyers,they can be so annoying especially when you think they are nice and go out of your way to be nice!

hopefully you will get someone who is nice!

we have our on the market a couple of weeks now only one viewer but that was a bit annoying as she was disabled and we have quiet a few steps at the front of our house,so she could not come in.

ha lets just smile!

as regards to visa still waiting to get nod to do medicals and police checks,brian phoned agent he is looking into it for us,so still waiting patiantly.

Hi to all Essex people wanting and/or applying to live in Oz,

Just to confirm, we are having a meet-up this Sunday from 1pm onwards at the Halfway House (on A127). It would be lovely to meet new people to share knowledge and experiences with, to have a laugh and meet new friends, some we may be able to keep in touch with in Australia.

We'll be in either the garden or the conservatory depending on the weather. Children very welcome.

If you're interested just come along. It will be good to meet you.

Good luck with house selling and everything. Did you have to re-evaluate or revise prices etc after the change in UK property market? We did the evaluation few months ago but not don't have the courage to re-evaluate for the same reason.

Hi Annemarie & Brian,

Yes we're addicted to them and love the chat, its become a habit now of chatting until there's no one left and then getting a bite to eat afterwards. A good family event cropped up last week which was also for afternoon of 13th July but we let them know we had something important arranged already, we can't wait to catch up with everyones latest news and its the last meet before our reccie so very interested to hear as much about Oz as possible.

Still bad new on the house selling front though, like yourselves. There's an odd viewing here and there but very quiet. Hopefully we'll both get some good news on this soon. Its definitely starting to drag on a bit now,but moving to Oz before the new year would be lovely.

Where are you up to in the process now ? Are you now just waiting and waiting for the visa grant to arrive ? and when do you hope to fly out ?

Anyone who wants to come along is more than welcome, it will be very nice to meet you there, its very relaxed ,informal and friendly. The last one was the most packed we've been to. I don't think there's much interest for this meet on this site this year though, but all very welcome.

yes they are very addictive but very good for information and to meet people
in the same situation,and it feels great to speak about and the other person is
not bored with listen to it.

we are just booking up to have our medicals done hopefully in the next couple
of weeks when brian's not at work, and then it will be a waiting game,but a good wait.
