Default Equivalent shops in NZ

I'm emmigrating to Auckland in a couple of months and was wondering what stores are similar to the UK's John Lewis, Argos, Dixons, B&Q etc etc. Any with websites and price guides would be great for the insurance claim should the ship sink with all my possessions on it
Can anybody help out with ideas of any "official" people I should be informing of my leaving the UK for good?

Ta very muchly

John Lewis = Farmers ( poor comparison but best you'll get) www.farmers.co.nz

B&Q = Bunnings or Mitre10 www.bunnings.co.nz www.mitre10.co.nz

Dixons = Dick Smiths

nothing like Argos available
