Re: Epping in melbourne
I do not get over that way much so not sure but I know it has a train line so that is a good thing.
Have a look at this web site http://www.communityguide.com.au/sub...?/epping-3076/ Once you have looked at the web site it will give you an idea of the areas around Epping and you can look up realestate.com.au for rental houses or houses to buy in the areas this will give you an idea of the area too. The council is Whittlesea. |

Re: Epping in melbourne
Only just spotted this.
I live in Epping and have done for the last 4 years (been here 5) We both love it here, it is for now the end of the train line.....so I can get home safely when I fall asleep drunk on the train, after a trip to the city  I can be in beautiful countryside in half an hour including "The black spur" http://www.visitmelbourne.com/displa...080C476A90000/ in about 25mins (probably one of the best motorcycling roads I have ridden). It is well served by several shopping centres (Epping Plaza, Mill Park), doctors, dentists and the Northern General Hospital. Jump on the train and I can be in Melbourne in about an hour, a little bit more in the car because of traffic. It's close to the Hume highway (main drag to Sydney) or the Western ringroad which will get you into Geelong in about 1.5 hrs and on to the Great Ocean Road about 40 minutes later. House prices still seem reasonable 240k to ??? for a 3 bedroom place. OK the beach isn't on the doorstep but again I ain't got time for fannying about on the sand ( motorbike to ride ;) ) but I can get to one in 1 hour if I feel the need. Both kids are grown and flown  so I can't help with the schools Oh, and using the "back roads" I can get to Tullamarine airport in 40 minutes Any more info ?? Just ask  |
