Yes. The flannelled fools have become greedy fools. And the phone calls may have cost that yob the oz captaincy.

English cricket is heading for a hot and trying summer, PB. Perhaps you could offer them one of your more eloquent pep talks. To bring them to the boil and let off some steam.

Not My game realy , though I did turn out on the last tour stood with the Barmy Army had a great time at the WACCA in Perth home game for the Poms out numbered Aussies, reaguardless how bad England are these lads and lassies give it all nutters to a man and women .
It amazed me that some of the Army took 3months off work to follow the team but even enjoyed watching them lose, we Poms love sport for sport sake its not the wining its taking part.

Nice response PB but that statement is so full of crap, you obviously havent played any sport in your life cause if you did you'd want to win no matter what.I guess that sums it up really, if the England cricketers adopt that attitude well they'd be lucky to win a chook raffle. And as for the barmy army quite a few of them ended up in hospital the next day after mouthing off in Northbridge. The English havent quite learnt to behave themselves at sporting events in other countrys have they.

I think you will find they had a good day on second day of the test here, you Sir are full of crap there was no problems at all with the Barmy Army even the press here which is anti-pom gave them a good write up , and asked why there was no Aussie Army ?
The only problem was at MGC when lots of Aussies were arrested for throwing bottles at England players and causing fights .
As for playing sport yes a will to win matters but knowing how to take defeat like a man counts for a lot , unlike the whinging Aussies who mouth off like the yobs they are.
Having played a far bit of Rugby Union in my time , we did one thing that no other sport does, that was the Winners would line up and clap off the Losers its called sportsmanship unheard of in Australia, where they think the word means cheat at all costs..

The Barmy Army is synonymous with English cricket fans travelling overseas to support their team. It was in effect created by the Australian media's description during the Ashes series in 1994/95. 'Barmy' because we were spending lots of money supporting a side that couldn't win a game of cricket; England not only lost to Australia and their second team, Australia A, but also suffered the indignity of losing to Zimbabwe and, to cap it all, the Australian Academy Side (youth team) and 'Army' because there were hundreds grouped together at each match singing a nd partying in concert. 'Atherton's Barmy Army' soon became established as our theme song and we were proud of our image.
As the cricket results got worse the intensity of our support increased and the Barmy Army rapidly became the focal point for both the media and the general public. We soon became firmly established at the centre of their attention and achieved star status. Eventually our passion and dedication were rewarded with an unlikely victory in the fourth test in Adelaide and it was there that the Barmy Army merchandising business was started.
