Hi all
new to this site . got visa's etc , off permanently in march 2005 to Perth. We are just in the process of selling up. After we have sold our house (subject to contract at mo!), we will rent for the final six months in the Uk whilst we tidy up all the loose ends and transfer money etc.
Seen loads of posts about how hard it is to a IT job in Perth.!!
I am a field service eng working on hardware repair of Epos and wireless network equipment. Does any one know if many jobs
are available for field guys like myself. ?? Any one looking for same
sort of work.?
off to Perth in june to validate visa's.

You're right - IT in Perth is struggling.
Sydney & Melbourne IT sectors appear to be recovering at the moment though.
It might be worth looking at www.australianit.com.au
