Ah, like my husband then. Mining specific jobs are annoying because of the lack of choices on where to live. We have started to wonder if we need to move as he needs to work at a mine. He has family in Sparwood BC, two hours from Calgary and in the mountains. Small town but I mention it because the mine there has posted a few times in the past 6 months looking for heavy duty mechanics. Right now Sparwood is our plan B but he'll need to get a job first!

OMG!! We have been looking at Sparwood too. Actually Elkford more specifically. He's applied for a couple of jobs but not having a visa or Red Seal has meant that he's not progressing. I like the idea of the small town in the mountains but relatively close to major cities (Calgary only a couple of hours away). I'm sure I can get some work there for me. If not I can open the cafe/bakery I've been looking at doing for yonks.
