Hello,

and thank you you for the reply.

yes so I have a Mechanical Engineering degree - I’ve just applied for a holiday working visa.
i was wondering when I got there would that be sufficient - from your reply I would have to sit say a ‘competency test’ ?
would they not recognise my degree and qualifications as enough rather than having to prove I am an engineer with a degree?

I really wish I could get a job before going over and potentially wasting money!

check whether your degree is listed in washington accord approved programmes. https://www.washingtonaccord.org/was...rd/accredited/ if washington accord no need for skills assessment. this shows why it's cool to have a 'washington', https://www.seekvisa.com.au/skilled-...-subclass-476/.
