how many non work transfer / employer sponsored migrants managed to secure jobs before they got to Oz ....

and the supplementary is - have any teachers managed to get jobs and if so any advice?

Would a rekkie be a good idea with a prepared CV etc. visiting possible sources of employment?

my hubby emailed a firm in Perth and they have asked him to come for an interview as soon as we get there, so hopefully he will have a job when we arrive

I went out in feb of this year to look for a possible business to buy, and just in conversation with a few people, I left with a job.

I had to mail my CV to them afterwards, but if you come across as confident and able, you can go far i'm sure.

It won't hurt to try. obviously not every occupation is the same regards getting available sponsors, because it can involve a lot of work for the employer, but it's worth a try, and it gives you confidence if you have work when arriving.
