Hello tiler!
At the moment there seems to be a lot of building going on in Brisbane so I assume there would be plenty of jobs for wall and floor tilers now. Don't know what it will be like next year though.
Hubbie is a wall and floor tiler too. Works for a builder, 20 years experience, doesn't have Australian licence yet, earns $1100 per week before tax, which is about $700 per week after tax.
If you want to become self-employed, you need a licence. Check www.bsa.qld.gov.au for more information.
If you're happy to work for someone else, they don't always care if you have a Queensland licence or not.
