Default Employer sponsored migration

Hi, Any help on the following would be gratefully recieved. I have an employer in Australia who is able to sponsor me on the ENS scheme - however does anyone know if my girlfriend would be able to join me on such a visa?

Many thanks for any info

have a look at posts regarding defacto visas for all the requirements.

This could confuse.

A de-facto spouse can be included as a spouse on a skilled or employer nomination visa provided the requirements are met (especially 12 months cohabitation).

A separate visa is *not* required in these circumstances as the spouse gets the same visa as the main applicant.

If the requirements for de-facto are not met then the relationship should be declared to DIMIA, but a separate spouse visa application will be required later on.

The original poster should download and read booklet 5 from the DIMIA website as it contains more information on this.

Hi Jeremy,

I wonder if you could let me know a little more about this. We do not meet the requirements for de-facto so at the moment I intend to get sponsored and my girlfriend will join me on a working holiday visa - is this our best way forward? You say that "the relationship should be declared to DIMIA, but a separate spouse visa application will be required later on" - I'm not really sure what you mean by this.
Any further advice would be great!
Thanks

If you are living together in a de-facto relationship you must mention this even if the 12 month rule is not met (even though you can't include her as an applicant).

The rest of the visa planning is complex and you should consider professional assistance.
