Brisbane great climate, great entertainment, laid back lifestyle, and a few beaches.. Lovely people and great sunsets over the mountains

We have just returned from validating in Perth & fell in love with the place - we travelled to the east coast last year & loved it but we did not feel like we could make a home there. We loved the laid back attitude, the lifestyle, the beaches, the city itself & the fact that it had a small town feel about it. I appreciate that it is not for everyone but it certainly ticked all our boxes. The people were so friendly & we have had so offers of places to stay when we first arrive - it makes it feel less daunting!!!

No really its because its beautiful, my sister is there, they have the cleanest air in the world and the houses are cheap and huge !!!

Perth, because I grew up in WA, have friends there, and the city because of work (to start of with).
If we didn't know anybody there it would probably also be Perth, or Adelaide.

Come on Perthies, explain yourselves (nobody ever does!) Why would you choose (except job of course) to go to Perth when you can go to the East coast which must be miles better in nearly all respects? Can't think of anything in Perth (house prices?) that you couldn't find better on the East coast...

Brisbane is the place for us, great outdoor life and climate. You get the best of both worlds really, great beaches and tropical rain forests.
