emirates query?
 

We're flying with Emirates to Brisbane in Oct. and have just been checking web site and found all these restrictions on medications,can any one help please.:confused:
My son is on a regular prescription for anti-biotics (oxytetracycline,skin condition) and although its not on the list of controlled substances the web site says you can't go by that and you have to contact UAE.Do I have to get in touch with the embassy or what? last thing we need is to get into airport carrying 'drugs':eek:
Am a bit worried by this...:(

You usually need a doctors certificate, or a letter on HEADED paper looking official saying that WITHOUT them you be very unwell...

There 'should' be a drugs list which Emirates can supply, some drugs are banned but 'if' you are enroute you should be ok.

thanks for that ,hadn't considered the fact that we are enroute but we are having a 2 nnight stop over so will post this on the site you mentioned.

Do not bring Codeine unless you have a letter from your doctor. It is all explained on the UAE Embassy websites what you need to do.
