Emigration insuarance
Has anyone any good cheap recommendations for emigration insuarance? Just to cover our flight over really.

No, it didn't even occur to me to insure our flight over and I generally insure lots of things. What are you insuring against?

Cheers Jon cheapest would be if you already had worldwide travel cover through an existing credit card provider or bank account - worth a check with them anyway. next cheapest would probably be a single-trip worldwide policy through an online broker. In the past, I've used insureandgo.co.uk and options travel insurance. Fortunately I have not had to make a claim - so I can't vouch for their claims processing - but both were easy to set-up. Otherwise, give yourself double the amount of time to get to the airport for your flights than you think you will need; once you have checked-in, the airline should look after you in the event that things go awry. |

We used down under insurance. They have an expat option, I.e travelling here to live.

Cheers Jon We used this company and you'll find many people will recommend them. Many policies will END at immigration, whereas this policy covers you for 21 days when you arrive into the country. |
