Default Emergency Travel Passport

I'm *hopefully* travelling to the UK on an emergency travel document next week. It will be me and my 4 year old daughter.

Has anyone had any experience on travelling on these? Does it go smoothly? I'm stopping in South Korea and am concerned about getting stuck there!!

Thanks in advance.

try the Priority Processing Service but do it tomorrow! you will get a regular (non-emergency) passport.
Call the Passport office and ask if you can have an appointment with them instead of AusPost, then pick it up from the Passport Office instead of waiting for the mail to come.
https://www.passports.gov.au/web/PriorityProcFee.aspx

"This service guarantees that an eligible applicant's passport will be ready for despatch within two working days of a passport office receiving everything it needs. Allow extra time for your application to be forwarded to the passport office and for your passport to be mailed out."

It's a UK emergency passport. I'm eligible for Australian citizenship but haven't got around to the test yet...

Thanks for the replies.

To add further confusion to the mix... British embassy will only issue an emergency travel doc in my last passports name, which was maiden name but flights are in married name...

Has anyone had any luck changing names with the airline? Or flying with marriage cert? I'm going with Korean airlines.

Ask the airline. Most won't but it depends on the class of ticket. The more you paid, the more likely you are to be able to change.
