Default Eltham - Diamond Creek

I know there is lot going on in NE Melbourne region at the moment and the people suffering there have my genuine sympathy and best wishes but, the ball and chain has family that live arround the Eltham to Diamond Creek area and she wants to move to that general area. I dont mind to much as its not the outlaws.

Does anyone kow long will it take to commute to the CBD from this area. Is Croydon or Warrandyte to far out to commute?

We dont mind upto 60 min commute

Couple of mates live in Eltham, takes them 5-10mins to drive to the train station (although they usually walk/jog or cycle) then 45mins into the CBD. It's a lovely area with all the shops etc you require plus it feels like you are in the country.

If you go to
www.whereis.com.au
click on the "directions" tab type in where you are going to work and where you are going to live......... it'll give you a route and an approx time to do the journey.......... add 30mins to 1 hour for rush hour traffic though
