electricians in Adelaide
Hi all,
Just wondering if there are any Electricians who have applied, or are considering working in the mining industry. Husband has heard how good the pay is and that you can earn up to $200k a year. Thinking of enquiring. Any info greatly appreciated.

To be honest, before we had even left the UK, we had discussed it and Sparky hub wasn't keen back then. On arrival, he did some digging, and found that yes, the money was good, (around $50- $60 an hour) but some mines wouldn't have taken him due to his previous work history (only domestic and commercial, no industrial experience). Other mines would, but due to inexperience, he would not receive the same kind of money (fair enough).
There are stories (I have no idea how accurate or true they are ) about quite severe bullying onsite, especially with new peeps, and some mining towns have some colourful tales with them.
'Skilled' (Sparky hub is shouting out to me!) and perhaps Kelly Industrial may be worth looking into...(I think Kelly Industrial ).
As with everything, what is one man's poison may be another man's paradise!
