Electrician looking for work
 

hello everyone ,we arrive in perth on 28 feb 08.Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated on getting employment .Iam a time served electrician main work new build sites rewiring houses schools etc.We will be living in the northern suburbs,I am 42 years old with heaps of experience.many thanks everyone. You will more than likely need a licence before you have much success with work as an Electrician. Take a look in the Electricians forum to get lots of info on licencing etc in Australia. http://britishexpats.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=97

I have several relatives who are sparkies by trade working here in Perth .............. plus many friends and several clients as well. I also have a good friend who works for an electrical contracting mob in Leederville somewhere .......................... they bring out fresh greenhorn sparkies from the UK on some sort of contract deal.............. not too sure about all the ins and outs but I can find out for you.

I'll be at a friend's 60th birthday party this coming Saturday and there will be dozens of British sparkies there............. will see what useful info i can glean from them for you?

Thanks Bobcat ,very much appreciated i am in the contracting industry at the moment.I am aware i will be the new kid on the block but i wont have a problem fitting into their way of working.many thanks for taking the time to reply.
