Hi,

I am looking to move out of the UK and hopefully to OZ. I have some Family out there but would like to have a bit more info on the state of employment before I really start bugging them.

I have all my Electrical qualifications ( not sure how relevent in OZ tbh).

If anyone has some info on the state of the Construction Industry regards Electricians I would be most greatful. It doesnt matter which field you have info on as I have Domestic, Commercial and Industrial experience.

Also how hard it is for me to work in the industry using my UK qualifications ( are they recognised)

Go for it mate,you have to have your qualifications assessed by the Trades Recognition Authority (TRA) before you can apply (a J.I.B apprenticeship is a dead cert to get you in)then you can apply as a skilled independant.Do a few searches on here,& maybe ask one of the agents who post here for some inintial advice.

I'm rough,but bloody slow with it mate,so if they accept hirsuite arsed geezers like me,they'll have anyone.
