Educationin NZ

Hi,

Does anybody have any first hand experience of the NZ education system compared to the UK? Have read lots of stuff about OZ education on this forum but have not seen anything on NZ.

Would like to know if in general:-

Class sizes are bigger or smaller than in the UK

If disclipine is better or worse than the UK

If standard of education (in state schools) is better or worse than the UK

If you have to live in the catchment area of a school as here in the UK

Does anybody know any good primary and secondary schools in the Wellington area? I have had a look at the NZ Education site but usually personal reccomendations are more reliable

I know these are pretty open ended questions but I am trying to get a feel of the situation. I would imagine it might be the same as here in the UK - depends where you live if you want a decent school?

Thanks

Twinkle
