If you have school age kids then you might be interested in this.

It's available to home-schoolers as well.

Knew about it, but didnt realise it included laptops etc.

2 in state high school next year, looking at book hire and subject selection fees around the $1400. Bloody school wanted $300 to enrol and that is now in last tax year.

For qld parents of kids using school buses or public transport as of 3rd august if they use a GO CARD there is a reasonable discount on each trip, eg 1.40 fare becomes 1.16, doesn't sound much until you add up 2/3 kids x 10 trips a week x 40 weeks a year GO card is avail at 7/11 stores and train stations.
