Default Eco houses ?

Hi I was just wondering if anyone knew of any eco developments or comunities in Perth Oz. I visited one in the north of Scotland last week and would love to know if eco houses are an option in Oz.

This has most likely been asked somewhere else but I had a wee look and couldn't find anything.

Cheers

Hi

I've no idea about eco developments but if you wanted to build an eco sound house there would be some specialist companies, maybe not as many as in UK.
Good one, best of luck with it.

Hi. The only one I know of is at Currumbin on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Heres a link, it may give you some ideas.

You could try www.westwyck.com
We have always dreamed of building (or converting to) an eco-property in Oz.
I'm too busy trying to leave the UK at the moment to look, but there is lots of stuff out there!
Nillumbik Council (Vic) are quite forward thinking and there's lots of mud-brick homes in Eltham area.
Maybe Crystal Waters college in NSW has info too - they do lots of permaculture and eco-building courses.
