East/west melbourne?
Hi all
I understand alot of suburbs are different to each other, but whats the east like compared to the west of melbourne?
As in say Geelong area and suburbs compared to Frankston area and suburbs?
Hope i have my east/west right lol.
I have been told about Warun ponds area but i was wondering if there are areas on the east/south side like that?
cheers jase
Another way to put it,is any like scotland and some like england?
or wales/ireland
As in london is full of shandy drinkers who walk round like robots and wont say hi
Scots love battered mars bars and iron brew and northern peeps are general nice people(maybe not up that far then)

I think the bigger differences will be in the inner suburbs when it comes to East/West divides rather than where you are looking.
Frankston is a Melbourne suburb, Geelong is town in it's own right. And I'd say that Frankston is a pretty redneck suburb in comparison to most other suburbs. Franskton will use Met trains, Geelong will be V-Line, might be worth factoring in if you have to travel.
Personally I'd prefer Geelong because of less congestion and access to surf beaches.

When was the last time you saw a toll booth in Mellie? Where are all the utes? Why are they driving on the right?

Rowville is 28km out on the East side and you can get similar priced properties there... but do agree that Point Cook will offer better value - but overall quality of life is more important I believe.
