e-tax......TFN tax witheld

Default e-tax......TFN tax witheld

how do u work this out?

I have got gross amount then 48.5% taken off cos bank didnt have TFN so what do I put in the e-tax form when it says TFN amounts withheld

Your bank should have provided you with an end of year statement which will have the total tax withheld. This is what you need to put down on the tax return form. If not and if you have internet banking, you should be able to access this info online.

sounds like, but then im bias cos i work for a credit union.

if u cant get the info on internet banking, just give them a ring and they will be able to tell u the amount of withheld tax. also if u had given them the tfn before the 21 july, westpac could have refunded u the withholding tax.

i dont work so didnt think i needed a TFN so it was a last minute thing
