Unhappy Due to ASPC being rushed off their feet at the mo........

due to the aspc being rushed off their feet at the mo........

many will know that we booked our meds unrequested for the 19th and 23rd of January (big family!!!!) I have rung our agent today, whose honest oppinion is that we should postpone them because they have clients who are three months infront of us and have not heard anything upto now.....

Any views....... ours application for skilled ind. 136 (not in demand) was acknowledged on the 29th May 2003....... we are 27 weeks at the mo so around the time of the pre booked meds we will have reached 8 months

Remember last year when ASPC went mad about March time trying to get in visas that should be processed as they were short of their targets for June 2003??? Well you could do medicals and police checks and hope that the same will happen 2004 or you could just wait, we are going to get the medicals done around March time if not requested beforehand and also get the police checks done at the same time, its a risk but whats new!!!!

Hiya Lisa
Hope that you are keeping well. Well, I think that you should wait until the meds have been requested because if there a lot of you it could be a costly business if you have to redo them.

We had to wait just over 11 months for our meds to be requested.

Anyway, its your decision.

Regards
Debs

As long as you will realistically be able to move out there by Jan 2005 I would go for it and get them done. Just remember the validation date will be based on Jan and you'lll be ok.

Dear Lisa and Andy,

We are in the same boat as you, we are 34 weeks down the line.
We phoned Adelaide last week asking if we had a case officer, not yet, but the process is still approx 50 weeks, we were told.

Our police checks expire end of May, we haven't had our meds done yet, we were going to book them in for January, we are putting them on hold now.

What a stressful time !!!!!!!!

Good luck

Cheers

Karen and Andy

go for it, i'm sure you should get the nod soon anyway so you are probably doing the right thing, could work out expensive to do them twice though.

can really relate to this...we made the decision to move over a year ago...skills results came back positively and our application went in on 1st july 2003...cant wait to hear some positive news....this waiting seems to go on forever but as it says on the gomatilda website (our agent) 'there is no shortcut to anywhere worth going' which is very true.
cannot wait to be in here in a years time posting from aus!
good luck to all

The only thing I can say guys is stay optimistic! ASPC always say it will take longer than they think and they always seem to give the worst scenario. Hopefully you wont end up waiting too much longer.

We have decided............

we cancelled them..........

but re booked them for the 15th and 19th of March....... we will be 42 weeks at that point.

Looking at Austimeline........... these dates seem to be more realistic - fingers x'ed

Told the agent and they feel happier........ who knows we may be able to bring them forward if requested b4 then....

Hello my darlin

Well a month or so ago we probably would have sent everything off. But now we are more chilled and will wait until they get in touch. Need time to save up for the BOND !!

Good luck with your plans, oh i see you have moved your meds till March. The waiting is a nightmare but it will be worth it in the end!!

Good luck with your plans, and i hope you hear something soon. There are quite a few on here that are around the same times as us so hopefully we can all be partying around the same times.

Take it easy girl your time will come !!
