Default Dubai stopover...any experiences?

Hi guys,

Flights booked for June 3rd with Emirates. Travel agent informed us that we would be entitled to transit accomodation in Dubai. Arrive in at 12.40 am and leave 08.45am.

Any comments on what transit accomodation is like?

Cheers

Ginny

Not had experience but has been on BE a few times. I think its a room with shower and bed which you rent by the hour. Although Emirates may give you this free.
Can you not catch a later plane?
Birmingham have 2 per day. arrive in Dubai 00.05 and 07.45. We did this trip last year. Had 1/2hr to run to gates
Why not stop over for a few days? only have to pay airport tax and hotel?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I think we're getting this free from Emirates. We had no real say in the choice as the Uni I'm going to work for is paying for it...Not complaining though.

Cheers
