Dual, Tri, or Quad Band GSM Phone?

:cake: What phone do I buy so it works in OZ?

I'm in the UK at the moment.

I thought a tri band would have done it, but now it seems you can get a quad band!!!

What next, pentaBand, HexBand......

Elastic band?

A dual-band will do just fine :) Tri-band works in most of the US and quad-band covers parts of Asia (Japan). Depending on where you're heading though, you might want to have a look at 3G when you get here - decent coverage out of the cities, fast internet and TV!! Have a look at http://www.telstra.com.au/nextg/index.html
