Driving with Windows Open?

Hi,

Off on a recci visit 7th March (Yippie). Can someone tell me if it is true that you are not allowed to drive with the windows open. Or are they just winding me up????

Thanks

No - it's true in Victoria...

Because you either get pulled over by a cop who has to check you have the correct factor sun lotion on your right arm.

Or - you'll be pounced on by a large spider that has climbed in from his web under your wheel arch...

Funny old game

And also, to stop the spiders climbing in from their webs under your wheel arches...

Funny old game

Those spiders are just being friendly, the correct position is to be already inside the car behind your sun visor.

I tried driving with windows open, but when I was in the car I couldn't see the laptop's screen, so I have no ideas of whether it works or not...

I suspect they are reffering to what youngy73 said, I believe it is illegal to drive with your arm resting on thewindow with your elbow effectively outside the car (as you would do on a hot day here)

That's true.
Also not allowed to drive with more than one stubby open per person (or one Jack and coke for under 16s).
