driving test in mel
when i land in mel,where do i apply for my theory driving test,is there only one in mel,or are they located in the suburbs aswell?
is there a long waiting list??
so many questions,so little time,leaving in 5 days

When you arrive call Vic Roads on 131171 to arrange a test, there is no waiting list and you can book a time to suit you. The test is computer based and multiple choice so its not too bad. There is a VicRoads version of the Highway Code that costs $17, well worth getting as some rules are different to the UK. The booklet is also available in pdf format at www.vicroads.gov.au but you can't print it.
You have 3 months grace before you need to sit the test. It costs about $25 for the test and $110 (I think) for the licence.
