Yes it can....we did it a few years ago in a camper van

To be honest it took us ages though, we stopped off in loads of places which was fantastic (but we did have the time spare...guess it depends on why you want to drive)

Go for it

It would be for relocation purposes, we have decided to stay in Perth for a while with relatives before we go to Tasmania to settle permanently. So we had thought about buying cars etc in Perth while we are there for at least four months and then driving from Perth to Mellie then get the ferry accross to Devonport. It sounds like a very very big road trip and not sure if I could manage it. I know hubby could as he loves driving. We estimated it would take 6 days or so but this would be driving all day and we wouldn't have a camper van it would possibly be a Mitsubishi Triton towing another car. Not sure if it is practicle or probable. Will think about it some more I am tempted just to get an old banger then sell it and fly from Perth to Mellie myself.....I am not sure I want that many miles on my brand new truck!

A girl turned up to my playgroup last Thursday. She arrived in WA on Tuesday having left from Melborne on the Sunday. She also had two kids under 2.5 in tow. I guess it can be done.

Everyone should do the Nullabor atleast once. If you have 2 drivers, it can be done in 2 days. Do it, enjoy it, and get the sticker on the back windscreen.

Sticker? what sticker? I take it the Nullabor is the route from A-B? I have not researched this yet. Hubby thinks it will be fun...It is my idea of hell being stuck in a car for that long with him! Mind you if we did lots of stops at least we might see some more of Oz on the way! Unless it is a dirt track though nowhere that is! LOL!

I am still not sure...it could be fun I guess! OH reckons it would take us 6 days. But it would be my truck pulling his car so his car would have no miles on it and mine would be well and truly run in! I dont like the sound of that fairs fair both cars should be used!

Two days? really? WOW I thought it would take forever to drive from Perth to Melbourne! That's quite good then I might consider this idea!

My OH drove to Melli and back in 4 days (there were 3 of them driving in shifts)

He was amazed at the lack of kangaroos and camels! but said there were plenty of rabbits!

I'd allow 5 days If i were you

Plenty of people do it though.

I will definitely do it one day, but it will be part of a trip around Aus, and god knows how long it will take in that circumstance. Hopefully it wont matter. I will be going from east to west though, and around Clockwise rather than anti-clockwise.
