Driving licences and change of address
When you change address within the UK you're supposed to inform DVLA and I presume they issue a new licence (I have to presume, not having ever moved since getting a new-style one).
So what happens when you emigrate? Do you give them an Oz address (will they accept that, even), however temporary? Will they accept a UK forwarding address, say a parental one?

To elaborate slightly... the notes on the back of the paper part of the modern licence say "you need only notify a change of address in GB". It sounds as though they're saying that they don't care that you might be living and driving in another country on a licence that is factually misleading. Well I suppose you can only do it for a few months so it doesn't matter all that much. One less piece of paperwork to worry about at this end?

I thought I'd just about completed my change of address stuff (have had 4 addresses in 4 months:scared: ) but had completely forgotten about this one. I'm going to give MIL's address I think, its worked for everything else.
