Default Driving Licence in Victoria

Having finally being granted our 136 visas a couple of weeks ago, after nearly 12 months, we are looking to go to Melbourne at the end of the year. My daughter will be 18 and will have been driving on a full UK licence for about 10 months by the time we go. Does anyone know if she will automatically get a Full licence in Australia even though she has not had her licence here for 3 years or more. I'm confused!!!

Also does anyone know the cost of tests etc to convert a heavy goods licence?

Thanks

Lisa

Nope, she will get a probationary licence until she is 21.

No idea on either of these questions, but have you looked at this page?

She will have to have P plates, I think for the remainder of the two (or whatever it is in VIC) years that they are required after you pass your test here.

Can't help with the heavy goods licence, but I know there has been threads recently about them so maybe do a search until someone who knows comes along.
