driving licence .. 3 months limit for replacing overseas one with AU one?
I am going to NSW as an immigrant.
I am from Turkey so my driving licence is not compatible with Australian one so I need to pass the exams.
I have my driving licence for 3 yrs and 5 months now..
Do I have to pass the driving licence exam in Australina within 3 months of my arrival to get a "full licence"?
If I pass the exam after 3 months do I start from "Learner" driving licence?
Or would I get "full licence" not matter when I pass the exam since I have my overseas licence more than three years now..
I would appreciate any help..

Thank you but still my question is not answered there..
Simply Do I have to take the exam within 3 months to get a "full licence"? Or can I take the exam any time (after 3 months?) and if i pass i get "full licence"?
Is this 3 months critical?

I am not in a position to answer this for you.

You'd probably have to get a learner licence to do the driving test then, as your existing licence would not be valid for use.
Once you pass the test within 3 months, you will get credit for your overseas licence and will avoid the probationary scheme as you've had it for more than three years.
Why would you even want to do things any differently?
