Dos anyone know anything about onsite machining in Oz?
Hi there,
I'm an onsite machinist at present (toolmaker to trade) from Glasgow and will be immigrating to Oz in June with my wife & son.
I've a 136 skilled independant visa and I was hoping anyone can help me out with the onsite machining ways in Oz. As in how does it work? is it the same as here supplied transport if driveable, fly in fly out as required, 7, 12 hour shifts & what's the rates like? Can anyone help?
P.S. I've been on to the big companies but they will not commit till your in country.
