Default Dont rob the bank, Its empty

Went into the bank and asked how soon to withdraw $8,000,
Oh we dont have that sort of money here, you will need to order it in, will take a week!

So what happens if everyone who goes into the bank asks to withdraw a few hundred at at time??

LMAO! Which bank is that?

If you want to withdraw large amounts of cash, do it on your card over a few days or just get a banker's draft. They cost about $20 and can be done within minutes. Everyone takes a BD because they're so safe... The person receiving gets the cash and it's taken from your account without having to remove the dosh from the premesis... just an electronic transfer.
If it's for a car, don't deal with them if they won't take a BD.

If it's for a car be careful about taking a bankers draft as it could be a forgery!

A BD from a bank being a forgery? How could that be? It's done at the counter in front of you whilst you wait. You're given receipts, you have to show your ID. Then you check your statement and the cash is taken out of your account.

Go back to highway robbery, ned.

We're renovating a house at the moment and needing cash for various things, kitchen, bathroom, staircase etc ... had to "order" it each time!!

They then try to count out in front of me, and whole queue! (so I ask them not to) Each time I started getting slightly edgey and wait for muggers as I sprint back to car!

And the reason you have to order it is because each person wanting his hundred odd wouldn't be able to if you'd taken the lot!

Hi iPom,

here in the UK, the police advise people *NOT* to accept banker's drafts when (for example) selling a car privately, because getting a forged banker's draft is one of the most common scams in the UK.

"This is because a stolen cheque or banker's draft can be recalled by the bank even after the funds have gone through the clearing cycle and are showing on your account. Any money transfered by you cannot be recalled once sent." (see more here: http://www.met.police.uk/fraudalert/...back_fraud.htm)
