Strangely that doesn't bother me half as much as the mahoosive huntsman in the ants/spiders thread... maybe that's cos it's outside... and the bird isn't, well, human sized. Still freakin' hate spiders though.

think i would poo myself if i saw one of the above spiders hanging off my pagola i have to say ;)


- i know jessie my hunter cat loves to hunt - birds, birds eggs and especially lizards i think even she might have second thoughts on taking one of those on

Oh huntsman are disgusting, when I was a kid and first moved to Oz I woke up with one on my bed – I only woke up because I felt something at my feet!

The worst part was when i seen it on the bed I jumped out and it flicked it off the covers, I went to get my brother (who is not afraid) but when we came back it was gone!:eek:

I never slept in that room again, lol.

Haha, not so funny when it’s on your own Bed, anyone else and I’d be laughing at them.

From that day forward, even up to today, I sleep with the sheets and covers tucked right in and I check it before I climb in. lol

Look at this – how someone can lie in bed filming this I have no idea, and it’s creepy the way “it’s watching them”

Aaargh f***. That's horrible... I'd be more freaked out if there wasn't a fan between me and the beast though, at least if the thing decided to drop there'd be a chance he'd get flung across the room away from me. EEEK! :eek:

That's those tree houses at Mission Beach which are basically made out of fly screens. We're going up there for a few days next week and OH suggested staying there. We're not!!

I saw some of those bird eating spiders when I was in Shark Bay - their webs are like touching wire (yes, I was brave/stupid enough to touch one!!)

Oh geez - I HATE spiders with a passion! Ever since Mum was bitten by a red back when I was a small child & rushed to hospital by ambulance, I have loathed them since........ really not looking fwd to all the creepy crawlies of Oz again! I freak out the moment I walk into a spiders web - always think there's a spider lurking on me afterwards LOL! There's also a bunch of snakes to look forward to on my parents property - oh joy....
