Don't fly from Heathrow May 3rd-you may see more butt flesh than you can stomach
Booked the flights today.So look out for a guy in a union jack thong in terminal 3 at Heathrow Saturday May 3rd.
Going with Malaysia,2 hour stop-over,then on to Perth to validate with 3 whole days to spare.Rang AHC London to see what happens if you don't validate your visas in time-told "tough-appeal if you want,but unless you died temporarily ,re-apply" charming.
Got Doree Bonner moving us on the 30th April/May 1st,but still haven't exchanged contracts on the house,so may have to get advice from the folks who offered it previously (you know who you are,don't back out now).
More goodbyes today,heading for our leaving bash this Saturday (remember me invite photo).It's great,like faking your own death then turning up to the funeral in disguise to see who can be arsed to see you off.
Just a couple of questions then that I really should know by now.
Do we validate just by walking through passport control,or do we get an escort via a red carpet to an executive lounge ?
Will Malaysia Airlines let you get away with loads more baggage if you cry hysterically ?
Where can we buy anti-SARS masks ?

You muppet!! We fly from Heathrow on the 3rd of May but with Qantas from terminal 4 12.30 noon. We change at Singapore onto flight QF18 to Perth Sunday 8.30ish. Could have had a few beer's together!!

returning from oz last year with malaysian we were way overweight with our baggage after stopping at penang - all those cheap cd's and label rip off clothes! we should have been charged an extra £250!!! anyway, what we did - with the help of the desk girl was condense it, one largish bag which had labelled up to put through we took on as hand luggage and bunged some more into another bag for hand luggage too. no-one questioned it again and bags were amazingly first off at heathrow and we were out within 15 minutes of landing! good airline i felt, preferable to thai anyway.
so no worries mate!

We flew Malaysian, they allowed us extra kilos by mistake, the girl couldn't add up the 8 weights of our bags!! We knew stuff we could ditch and leave with family seeing us off if we had to.
Hand luggage, might be worth buying maximum sized bags if you look at the dimensions, but then you've got to watch the weight. Apparently it's 5 kilos per bag, but unofficially it's 7 kilos. Our max sized bag full of essential paperwork weighed 13 kilos, so we had to redistribute it to another bag, but got it all in in the end.
Validating - easy peasey, just like coming on holiday, we thought "is that it?". If you're lucky some of them might even say welcome to Australia. The kids loved the sniffer dog, they make him jump up at some people for a sniff higher up. Might have guessed I'd be chosen, I must look dodgy!
