Oh jeez, get over yourself, seriously. Find a book to read or something. No one took the piss or was abusive but if you have such a huge chip on your shoulder to believe there was then that's your problem not mine. I seriously couldn't care less.
I said I wouldn't mind if you took the piss out of me as a Welsh individual. Didn't say you had. P.S. hope the leeks didn't give you indigestion! |

I'm glad you do not have a problem with it. Your blood must have been diluted with English/German blood. Are you trying to get yourself banned before the end of March? ;) :D Researchers concluded the most likely explanation for this was a large-scale Anglo-Saxon invasion, which devastated the Celtic population of England, but did not reach Wales. |

Why is that borderline? In studies, many English and Frisians have almost identical genetic make up but the Welsh were very different.

You have to realise as well that the Celts aren't indigenous to Wales, Ireland or Scotland. IN FACT, there are no indigenous people in those countries as they are all migrants.

Indigenous peoples are any ethnic group who inhabit a geographic region with which they have the earliest known historical connection. There may have been earlier settlers but were not identified as an ethnic group.

Yes, and the Celts are known to have migrated to countries such as Wales, Ireland and Scotland and consequently are not indigenous.

Your belief that the Welsh are a race on their own is fundamentally wrong. They are a nation of Caucasian people. No matter how pedantic you want to be, no matter how much you beat your racist drum your wrong. Racism is the belief that some races are inherently superior (physically, intellectually, or culturally) to others and therefore have a right to dominate them. Stating your husband has a dislike for the Welsh is therefore not racist. Nationalistic yes, racist NO NO NO PS It must be true I capitalised & repeated myself three times:p There have been many cases of celebrities making derogatory comments about the Welsh in public. These have become collectively known as Anti-Welsh Racism. I suppose the comments are not specifically racist but affective prejudice. I would be interested to know what his dislike of the Welsh is and why? |
Re: Don't Come to Australia
In a free and democratic society it is perfectly acceptable not to like a another nationality. It is only your actions or comments that can be deemed prejudice or racist.
Or am I just mad? |

That's irrelevant.
If 500 people from a specific area moved to that same deserted island and shared similar language, culture, skin colour and still inhabit that island today where people still speak the same language, would you more likely regard them as indigenous? |

Or am I just mad? Here's what was posted if you haven't read it. The Husband is not a fan of the Welsh (north lot mainly but he's not overly fussy with his dislike) and swore on his MiLs life that he would never live in a place that had Wales in the name. Bigoted? Yeah possibly but he's lovely really. |

I understand that. I do not like some other nationalities but do not openly say it on a public forum.

Yeah possibly but he's lovely really. The Husband is not a fan of the Welsh (north lot mainly but he's not overly fussy with his dislike) She simply states her husband is not a fan of the welsh. She has made no offensive remarks about the welsh or denied them anything. Stating it on a public forum is really not an attack. Basically I think the fact someone somewhere does not like the Welsh is hardly a revelation. She cant turn around and say her husband does like the Welsh just because its caused a stir. |
