Does the timeline for different visas differ?

Does the timeline for different visas differ?
Question is do some visas take priority over others when it comes to getting a case officer, being granted etc etc
If so we are aiming for a 136 MODL - Sheet Metal Worker, how would we fit into the great scheme of things??

We had an entry specific date on our permanent resident visa but our neighbour who was going to Melbourne on a sponsored visa did not, he just seemed to have to arrive at some point within his 2 year sponsorship period which was just as well as he was delayed by a year.

Also check out www.austimeline.com to see how long its taking other applicants in a similar visa class to your own.

I have done this but think it is probably me but find that site very difficult to work around!! Will however try again!!
