Default does being sacked count against immigration

My boyfriend is going to apply for skilled migration and be sponsered by his uncle, I am going to be included on his application but he won't get any points from me. The problem I have is that 3 years ago I was sacked from my job of 5 years for gross misconduct. Will this affect my boyfriends application and will Australia not allow me in?
Thanks in advance

I doubt it would make any difference to the visa application. I assume your ex-boss is still alive ???
