I'm a personal trainer and sports massage therapist. I want to continue this work on reaching Adelaide. I understand that I need to get my UK/Irish qualifications verified by an Australian body in order to register and work - sounds easy enough - NO ITS NOT!!! that, or I'm completely missing the point somewhere.....

I've been told by varying people "in the know" in gyms, etc that I contact Fitness SA and they verify......did that and they sent me a form to register with Fitness Australia - to do this I need to verify my qualifications....and have a statement of Attainment (what is that??????)

Same kind of thing applies for massage.........

I'm completely at a loss at this stage, I keep getting pushed from pillar to post and banging my head on both!!! All I want is to have all my paperwork in order by November and apply for jobs - but can't do that without verification and registration!!!!!!!!:curse:

If ANYONE is wise to this and can offer me advise, I really would be enormously grateful!!!!!!!!!!
