Default Does anyone live near Maidstone?

I've got a meeting at the town hall in the high street tomorrow and was wondering what the parking was like and is there a multi storey close. I would have gone by train but I would have to go all the way from essex to liverpool st. just to get to maidstone.

Thanks in advance,

Steve.

You can park in the Chequers Multi Storey Car Park, if you get there early as it gets very busy.

Now you have asked a question!
You have to go round the one way system, if you come from the M20/A249 into Maidstone, follow the signs to Mote Park. Chequers will on the right with a big Sainsbury's.
There's also a one way system you have to go round.

Hope this helps.

Noticed that I have mentioned the one way system twice.
You actually go round the one way system before you get to the car park.

Thanks Kelly,

If I do't post tomorrow, you know @'m still going round the one-way system!

Thanks for your help Kelly, I did park in the Chequers car park and I survived the one way system.

I live to post another day!

Steve.

It`s easier to park on the roof of the Chequers centre most of the time.

I nearly was on the roof, I ended up on the 7th floor!

No, there`s a different carpark which is on the roof of the actual chequers centre, rather than the one you went in which is multi-storey. Easiest way to get to it (if you ever go again), is to
- take M20 J7 towards MS
- turn left at Roundabout (RB)
- right at RB (up a hill),
- straight over RB (past Maidstone Studios on right)
- carry on till you reach the traffic lights (then turn right)
- carry on along that road all the way into maidstone. go through the lights etc but don`t turn left or right... stay straight.
- the entrance to the rooftop carpark is on the left, opposite Somerfield (so slow down after you see the Pizza place on the left). You go up the ramp to the roof.

ta-da! You`ll probably never use it, but anyway....
