We are just waiting for some money from a house sale in the UK (yes there are some happening).

Just worried where to put the money so that we can get at it when we hit the right exchange rate.

We have an Abbey e-saver account and some of the historical posts on here indicate that Abbey is one of the few UK internet banks that have no limit on the amount that you can transfer to Ozforex London without additional security checks?

Does anyone know if this is still the case...as usual, I am unable to get through to anybody that speaks sense at Abbey.

Thanks, yes I moved quite a bit out when the rate was at its peak a few weeks ago and there were no issues, but not in the region of house buying money though.

We used nationwide and although there is a £10k limit per transaction you can do as many transactions as you like per day. Makes the limit pretty pointless but doesn't caue any real problems.

I believe the limit is set by the FSA rather than any specific bank. When I've sent cash from the UK to Oz via Ozforex anything over 10K they ask what its for. They usually give me a call a day or so later. The funds still go thru with my current bank when I initiate it
