Doctors
I was just wondering what the average waiting list times are like in other parts of oz.
The wife has a stunning cold that has stuffed her sinuses up so bad she was up half the night in agony. We tried to get a doctors app this am and there is a 3 month wait at EVERY surgury in town!! I thought they were kidding at first
If its an emergency we can go in and see a duty nurse, other than that they said take a trip to the hospital.
She has decided to not bother and has gone to work feeling pretty knackered.
It seems a bit daft to me. I mean.....after 3 months your either better or dead. Whats the point in that?

Wow,
That is crazy - 3 months that can't be right can it? Not in Oz yet but personally anything over 2 weeks is a lot to me.
Maybe she could try going to see a pharmaist - but be able to recommend something
Diddy
Hope she feels better

Medical workforce measures will help address regional doctor shortages

Really impressed with the service here in NZ. Went to GP surgery at 9am to make an appointment and the receptionist said "quarter to?", being used to waiting at least a week in the UK I said "quarter to what and when?" I felt so stupid when she said "quater to 10...today". Doctor is really great too.

If I were you, I'd just go to the doctors anyway without an appointment and cough all over receptionist , see if they can fit you in... look really ill, there's always people who do not turn up for their appointment, and you will be fitted in.
demand to see a doctor, three months is not on!

Hospitals are bad though, normally between 45min and 1 hour to wait !! Just remembering the UK now

We rung up and got an appt within the hour just last week in Mosman, Sydney. I think the best advice is if they don't want your money then find one that does!

They bulk bill
I find a 3 month doctors appointment waiting list difficult to believe. I think that PeteY must be having us on !
And if not, then that's one area I would not fancy living in.
