Do you have a carpet
To eveybody in Oz, do you usually have carpets over there, or is it more wood flooring?
No I am not talking about furry little dice on the dash either?
Cheers

Aussie DIY TV shows have prompted a national rip up carpet and polish floor board mania. That with a repaint and the theory is one makes a fortune. The polished floorboards can look very good and are practical in the heat although in winter they can be chilly.
Other than that we live in mudhuts.

Thanks,
You mean that you have upgraded from holes in the ground to mudhuts.

except for the Kitchen, Family Room and and Hallways, they are tiled.
The last house was 100% tiled, my wifes choice
But, I got my way with this house Well, after all, I did pay for it !!! Good job she doesn't read all this
edit:
PS, for those who don't know, a Family room is NOT the Living room. It's another living area, used more often, so that the living room stays nice and tidy. Well thats the theory I think, but it doesn't work in this house though
The living room (the lounge) has carpet, so I live in it

Most of the houses around here have carpet in the bedrooms and formal lounge, all the other rooms are tiled or wood.

Heh heh! Not Aus but Europe next - we don't believe in carpets, at home everything is all tile or wood. Much better in lots of respects - comfort, cleanliness, looks, value preservation, cool in summer - hot in winter.
