It's Seamus O'Tooles at Knox Ozone. Better in the day time, early evening as it's packed with young ones and a bit lairy (sp?) at night

For more civilised and expensive cider - Oscar's Ale House in Belgrave sell the Duck & Bull - but it's around $12 for 500ml

Coldstream Cider is good too at 6-7%, unfortunately Kellys in Olinda have taken it off tap (were selling that off at $5 a pint!) and only have it in bottles now.

Even better - visit in Autumn and go to the Kellybrook Cider Festival and buy yourself at gallon of fresh scrumpy

Strongbow cider defintely is not the same in Oz, it contains 10% perry, or pear juice cider to make it sweeter, just look on the back label of a bottle. Some pubs serve Stowford Press on tap which is a great English cider, you can get a lot of imports in the bottle shop and for a good Aussie cider there's a great one made in Tazmania I can't remember the name of.

You'll also be dissapointed with you wife's plan to take carry outs in Kings Park for if you get caught by the police you're likely to get a $50 ticket for street drinking!

We can get Bulmers cider on tap at a local Irish Bar - not bad for $5.50 a pint
I really miss English strongbow Here it is just sugary water. Bulmers in bottles is very close the the English version. I am in Melbourne, where and what is the name of this bar you mention??, I am putting my coat on as we speak...

It's Seamus O'Tooles Irish Bar, Knox Ozone near to Knox Shopping Mall, Wantirna (Burwood Highway). As I mentioned before, I would avoid late a night as it's packed and does sometimes attract trouble

So I ask my wife what is she worried about missing in the Uk, and she says
"Do you get Strongbow in Australia ?".

Now if they did the IELTS for my wife they would carry out a negative score, to assess the drivel that comes out of her mouth. She is sitting watching that moronic programme "Big Brother", with her can of strongbow, whilst a bunch of numpty's make a complete t_t of themselves.

And for some reason I married this numpty ?!

At the end of the day, I'm glad she is coming across with me, where else would I be without ma wuman. If she is happy, then I will be happy.

Therefore would be really happy if someone could confirm if Strongbow Cider is available in Australia, cause I can just see us down the Kings Park with our carry out

Thanks
You can get it, but I wouldn't be seen dead drinking it

Yes, we have it in our (not particularly big or special) bottle shop, but seems to be only the sweet stuff. Tasmania is famous for its apples and produces all sorts of amazing ciders which to you (as a Strongbow drinker) will be a foreign concept.

Are you Hearts fans by any chance?

Tassie ciders are the best Aussie ones by far - Mercury do three, dry, sweet and draught. Dry is a white cider and it just gorgeous......
