Do we take the car or not?
 
Hi
We are moving from New Zealand to Melbourne, I am wondering does any one know if there is import tax etc bringing are car to oz, the car is about a year old, we brought it second hand with very low km, we will proberly loose $3000 NZ if i sell it here so I am thinking I might as well bring it???? :huh:

There have been literally dozens of threads on this very subject. Do a search on shipping cars for all you need to know.

Actually worth finding out where your car was manufactured. Because it was unlikely to have been built in NZ and if it was in Australia you will pay no customs duty.

Other than that have a look here for the minefield which basically means it usually a waste of time and effort to even consider import.
