Default Do we need immunisations for stopovers

We're looking to book a holiday in Oz in August with our 2 little uns.Looks like we'll need a short stopover in Dubai and Singapore. As we don't intend to leave the airport,do we need the jabs for those countries.Might seem to be a silly question, have looked in all the other threads but can't find an answer.
Cheers
Nick

If you go to your local GP, and tell them where you are going, they will have a full list of countries that you do or dont need vaccinations for, but you need to do that sooner rather than later because some injections need time to settle in....I have just come back from oz, and had a stop over in Hong Kong, asian bird flu is a huge concern at the moment across asia, so it might be worth mentioning that to your GP.
Hope this helps, have a great holiday

It depends if you are talking about a stopover or a transit stop. If you aren't leaving the airport, and are just transiting - ie changing planes - then you won't need the jabs.
If you are staying overnight - ie actually entering the country- , it would be a good idea to look at what they recommend.

No we're not planning on leaving the airport

Should be OK then, you're only there for a couple of hours, and they don't require you to have the essential jabs unless you go through immigration into the countries themselves.

If my immunisations were up to date I wouldn't be worried about a stopover in Singapore. Not sure about Dubai but staying in the airport would not be an issue.
