DO UK GSM mobiles work in NZ?

As the title suggests I have 2 UK mobiles from the orange network. I was planning on getting sim cards over there to put into them. But will they work?

yes, but you need to get them unlocked first,
search this forum for 'mobile' or 'phone' it tells you how !
