I stayed for year and half in Australia as a student and after that have worked in USA for few years and now back in India. Do I need police clearence from australia and USA ? I have already attached the police clearence from India with my appilcation. In case it is required can I start the process in anticipation ( someone told me they are valid for only limited time). I have not been asked anything from the australian counsulate yet, though its just been a little over a month I sent my papers

You need penal certificate from every country you live in for more than twelve months
in the last ten years, and yes that includes australia. you don't have to wait to get
the cettifcate you can file the application then send the certifcate after, they are
valid for twelve months for immigration puposes.
