My folks built with them at the peek of the boom, about four years ago, they found the whole process a nightmare. That said they would have found building with any spec builder here the same.
I've worked for them extensively as a subbie for the last four years, they use the same gear as every other builder, they just build so many more homes they can bulk buy cheaper, therefore offer better deals. They advertise a walk in finish i.e it's all painted tiled etc. There is no landscaping or driveway included in the base price though.

Ours is a Tamawood, build 6 years ago and still standing, not had any issues at all with it

They are large enough to get good prices for the supplies. They also don't bother with display homes, you get to look around peoples real houses.
